ABSTRACT

The economic downturn challenged strength and robustness of the ASML critical success factors: customer focus, integrated knowledge network, and research and development. On all critical factors, ASML had to respond quickly. The overcapacity in the semiconductor industry led to a steep market decline and focus on operating cost. Next, customer interest moved to the ASML next generation immersion and EUV solutions, putting pressure on our technology roadmap. In this presentation I will explain some of the actions taken and lessons learned.
